I came here looking after deciding to start a pure thief build in Skyrim. In my opinion, this is not a "pure thief". A pure thief should not invest any points in archery, or get any perks on the right side of the sneak skill tree (backstab, deadly aim and assassin's blade) I would instead concentrate on sneak (minus the right side of the tree), lock-picking (only to get the unbreakable perk), pick-pocketing (all of them), speech, alchemy. Enchanting and illusion can also be a useful skills to have if you want to go the "arcane trickster" route.

I don't think you're a pure thief if you use enchanting or illusion though. That would be more of a Nightblade which is a subclass of thief. Nightblade doesn't fit a pure thief that uses enchanting and illusion perfectly because Nightblades well, they use blades, which a pure thief wouldn't, but you get my point.
