How do you start the house quest?

You have to do the quest for the Redoran Guard Captain (forgot his name) and a couple quests for Councilor Morvayn before you get it (there may be more to it, but that's what I remember).

You could always look it up on the Elder Scrolls wiki.

The Elder Scrolls Wiki is terrible compared to UESP. emoticon

Do you mean the one on Wikia, or a different one?

Yeah. Wikia

Well, I prefer the Wikia one since I'm used to the format (also frequently use the Dragon Age Wikia, the Mass Effect Wikia, and the Fallout Wikia).

In my experience, the info on Wikia is fairly accurate.

UESP goes far more in depth, though.

That might be why I prefer Wikia. It provides the info you're looking for without an info overload (at least, that's how I see it).

I'm not looking for a huge amount of info on what I'm trying to look up- I'm just trying to get the info I'm looking for and get back to playing the game, or whatever I'm looking stuff up for in the first place

Maybe, but I like UESP because it gives a full bug list for basically everything, complete with fixes and workarounds.
