I'm confused... Sparta is Greek, but the Empire is based on Rome...

Looking at armor and weapon styles, the Empire has both Greek and Roman influences. The armor is based on that of Rome with some helmets and armor variants more Greek than Roman. (I.e the closed Imperial Helmet)

Nah, Roman culture was heavily unfluenced by the Greeks, so there will definitely be a little Greek influence in the Empire. That said, the Empire is 99.9% Roman. Just look at the armor, names, military ranks, etc.

Look, I'm not going to argue World History with you. I never said that Rome was influenced by Greece. I said the concept of the Empire was influenced by both. Now either Bethesda messed up, or they used inspiration from both societies. Greece and Rome both have characteristics present in the Empire. If you don't like the build, then please make a better one.

Man. all wuyixiang said was that Greek was Roman. So the the influence for the Imperial in Skyrim is from Rome. Then in turn, I commented that Greek was under Roman rule, so if you think about it. Greek was Roman, so was the influence.

no need to get worked up about it. The build is good, don't forget that.

He meant Ancient Greece not Greece at the time of Roman Empire rule.

The closed Imperial Helmet takes influence from Roman (Sorry for my misspeling in the other comment). Romans then in turn got influence from Greek.
With that said, Greek was under Roman rule.

The closed Imperial Helmet is inspired by the ancient Greek helmet. The regular Imperial officer helmet is more influenced by Rome.

To me, it looks like it's a combination of the Roman Centurion Helmet and some Gladiator helms.

Well... History doesn't have much to say in the build making xD
Greek was under Romen rule for most of the time the Empire stood.
